Semilonghair (SLH)
Balinese
Body: Medium sized, elegant cat, slim and muscular. Body long and supple. Neck long and slender.
Chest and shoulders never wider than hips. Legs are long and slim. Paws dainty and oval.
Whipped tail, very long, thin from base to end, tapering to a fine tip.
Head: Wedged skull. The wedge flaring in straight outward lines on both sides from the nose to the
ears. Long and straight nose, flat forehead. The profile is slightly convex. Fine muzzle, well
developed chin, lining up with tip of nose in the same vertical plane.
Ears: Very large, wide at base and pointed; outside lines are set to continue the wedge.
Eyes: Almond shaped, slightly slanted towards the nose, in harmony with the wedge shaped head.
The distance between the eyes to be not less than eye width. Eye colour is vivid, deep blue.
Coat: Medium-long and glossy; silky texture, no undercoat; tail plume- like.
Colour Varieties: The Balinese is a colourpointed cat, any point colour without white is accepted. The descriptions
of colours are listed in the General Colour Guide. Point colour develops slowly and will not show completely finished until cat is matured. Therefore, allowance is made for incomplete point color
in young cats. Consideration should also be given to the fact that in older cats body colour may darken and so-called flank spots can occur, both may be tolerated.
Faults: Too deep set or protruding eyes are faults, same as any tendency to squint.

Cymric
Body: Solid, compact, medium sized cat. The back is very short, ending in a rump ideally as round as
an orange. Muscular legs, short front legs, standing well apart to display a broad chest. The
hind legs are higher than the front legs. Deep flanks are an important feature of this breed.
The feet are round.
The following varieties of the tail are accepted:

3. Stumpy: Absolutely tailless. There is a definite hole at the end of the spine.
There is a slightly arched rise of the spinal bone at the base of the tail,
but not as much as to stop the hand stroking the rump.
The tail should not be longer than 3 – 4 cm.
Head: Large and rounded with prominent cheeks. Curved profile with a broad nose, but no stop.
Strong chin.
Ears: Medium in size, open at the base, tapering to rounded tips. Set relatively high on head.
Eyes: Large and round; slightly slanted. All colours are allowed, the colour to harmonize with coat colour.
Coat: Medium long, silky in texture, with soft, thick undercoat. A well developed ruff and britches
complete the general impression.
Colour varieties: All colours with and without white are allowed, as well as any amount of white. The descriptions to

Maine Coon
Body: Large to very large sized cat, body muscular, long and broad, overall impression rectangular.
Neck medium-long, with sturdy musculature; broad chest. Substantial muscular legs of medium length; feet large, round, well-tufted. Tail at least as long as to reach the shoulder, wide at base
and tapering to a pointed tip, with flowing hair.
Head: Large massive skull, squared appearance with straight contours; cheekbones high, nose of
medium length; muzzle massive and square, distinct muzzle break. Chin massive and firm, in
line with upper lip and nose. Curved profile.
Ears: Very large, tall ears, wide at the base and tapering to appear pointed at the tip. Set almost upright
and high, the distance between them being not more than an ear width. The ear furnishing extends beyond the outer edge of the ear. Ear tufts are desired.
Eyes: Large, oval, spaced wide apart and set slightly oblique; eye colour to be uniform and harmonizing
with the coat colour.
Coat: Short on the head and shoulders, except the ruff; obviously increasing in length down the back
and flanks. Dense undercoat, soft and fine, covered by a coarser, more substantial top coat. The dense smoothly flowing top coat is waterproof, completely covering the back, flanks and the
upper side of the tail. Underside of body and back side of hind legs have only undercoat. Long
frill is desired, but a full ruff is not essential.
Colour Varieties: Chocolate and cinnamon and the according diluted colours (lilac and fawn) are not accepted in
any pattern combinations (bi-colour, tri-colour, tabby). Also, the c s -factor is not accepted.
Any other colour is accepted, the descriptions of colours are listed in the General Colour Guide.
Faults: A coat of overall even length is a fault. Fine boning prevents from awarding CAC.

Nebelung
Body: Medium sized cat, medium strong and muscular build, graceful in outline and appearance; long
and slender neck, long legs, paws narrow and oval. Long tail, slightly rounded tip.
Head: Skull medium long and flat shaped; in profile forehead and straight nose meet at a convex angle
level with the eyebrows. Prominent whisker pads; strong chin.
Ears: Large and slightly pointed; slightly tilted forward , set well apart . Inside ear with little furnishing,
so that the ear looks thin and almost transparent.
Eyes: Large and almond in shape; set wide apart; eye colour vivid green.
Coat: Medium in length, soft and silky; dense undercoat, ruff and breeches are not strongly developed.
Coat Colour: Clear blue and even through with a distinct silvery sheen ( hairs tipped with silver). Medium blue
is preferred.
Nose Leather: Blue-grey

Norwegian Forest Cat
Body: Medium to large sized cat, long strong body with solid bone structure; long and sturdy legs,
hind legs longer than front legs; broad round paws with heavy tufting between toes; very
long and bushy tail, at least as long as the body.
Head: In the shape of an equilateral triangle; long, straight profile; strong chin.
Ears: Very large, wide at the base and set high on the head, the line of the head should follow the
outer lower edge of the ear straight down along the cheek. With lynx-like tufts and long hair
out of the ears.
Eyes: Large, open, slightly oval; eye colour to be uniform and harmonizing with the coat colour.
Coat: Semi-long; the woolly undercoat is covered by long, glossy, firm and water-repellent guard hair .
The overcoat covers the back, flanks and the upper side of the tail completely. The underside of
body and back side of hind legs have only undercoa t . A long ruff, a triangular shaped beard
hanging down the cheeks and breeches on the hind legs make the picture complete.
Colour Varieties: Chocolate and cinnamon and the according diluted colours (lilac and fawn) are not accepted in
any pattern combinations (bi-colour, tri-colour, tabby). Also, the c s -factor is not accepted.

Ragdoll
Body: Medium to large sized cat, muscular and heavy; legs also muscular and medium in length;
paws large, compact and round, with toe tufts; tail long, slightly tapering, furnished bushy.
Head: Equilateral triangle, formed by the strong, rounded muzzle, elongating to well developed
cheeks. Top of head between the ears is distinctly flat. Curved profile, slightly retroussee
nose; strong chin.
Ears: Medium in size, broad at base, with slightly rounded tip; set wide apart with a slight tilt forward.
Eyes: Large, open ovals; wide set and moderately slanted; eye colour vivid blue, the deeper the better.
Coat: Semi-long, soft, silky texture with minimal undercoat; longest hair around the neck. Breeches are desired.
Colour Varieties: The Ragdoll is colourpointed; any point colour is accepted. The descriptions of colours are
listed in the General Colour Guide. There are three categories, the Colourpointed, the Bi-colour

Bi-colour - points with white; belly, chest and legs are white, the white colour starting on the
forehead forms an inverted V, extends over cheeks and muzzle and blends unbroken into the
white chest. Mitted - points with white, the front paws will have white mittens, the back legs
have white boots to level of the hock; white colour starting on the chin, blends unbroken into
the white chest; white belly.
Faults: Profile with stop, Roman nose and dense undercoat letting the coat stand off from the body, are severe faults.

Birman
Body: Medium sized cat with strong boning and well developed musculature. Body medium in weight
and slightly elongated. Low legs, feet broad and gently rounded. Tail medium in length, elegant
in shape, plume-like.
Head: Blunt triangle with rounded contours. High set cheek bones, well rounded cheeks, forehead
slightly convex. Profile gently curved; Roman nose of medium length; well developed chin.
Ears: Medium in size, about as high as broad at the base, slightly rounded at the tip; set upright and
well apart.
Eyes: Deep blue in colour; not quite round but slightly oval shaped; set well apart. .
Coat: Long to medium-long and silky in texture, little undercoat. Facial hair short, growing longer on
the cheeks, developing into a full ruff. Very long fur on back and flanks.
Colour Varieties: The Birman is a colourpointed cat , any point colour (except cinnamon and fawn ) is accepted.
The descriptions of colours are listed in the General Colour Guide. Their unique characteristic
are their white gloves and laces. ,,Gloves" means the white markings on all four paws. Above
all, evenness and symmetry of gloves are of essential importance. Be it matching symmetry of
the front gloves on the one hand or matching symmetry of the rear gloves on the other hand;
or even better, evenly matched gloves of all four paws. The colour is absolute pure white; it can
end at the third joint or at the joint, it may not extend on the leg. Allowance is made for somewhat longer rear gloves. ,,Laces" means the white markings on the soles of the rear feet, tapering up
to a tip. Symmetry of the two laces is desirable. Ideally, laces end in the middle of the metatarsal
bone.
Faults: Spots of white (outside of the gloves and laces) can lead to DQ. Runners are streaks of white extending beyond the standard form of gloves. A belly patch is a point coloured patch on the underside of the body. Withhold CACIB: Lack of laces, also belly patch. Minor flank spots and
stripes may be tolerated. The general type may neither resemble to a Persian cat nor may it
tend to the other extreme, resembling the Siamese look.

Siberian / Neva Masquerade
Body: Medium sized to large cat, well-muscled and heavily built. Neck short and substantial, legs also muscular and of medium length; feet big, compact, round and well tufted. Tail as long as to reach
the shoulder blade , slightly tapering, furnished bushy.
Head: Head short and broad with low set wide cheek bones, rounded muzzle and chin, forehead slightly curved, gently rounded contours and slightly curved profile. Nose of even width from bridge to
nose leather.
Ears: Medium-large, wide at base with slightly rounded tips. Set wide apart and tilted slightly forward.
Eyes: Large, slightly oval shaped with rounded lower line, set slightly oblique and wide apart. Eye
colour to be uniform and harmonizing with coat colour. Any shade from yellow/gold to green
is accepted. In whites and vans the eye colour may also be blue or odd-eyed. In pointed cats
the eye colour is blue on principle, the deeper the blue the better.
Coat: Coat is of medium length; very dense undercoat, soft and fine, covered by a coarser, more
substantial top coat. The dense smoothly flowing top coat is waterproof and glossy, of coarse,
crisp texture, completely covering the back, flanks and the upper side of the tail. Undersides
of body and back side of hind legs have only undercoat. Particularly long hair on neck, chest, breeches and tail.
Colour Varieties: The pointed variety is named Neva Masquerade. Chocolate and cinnamon and the according
diluted colours (lilac and fawn) are not accepted in any pattern combinations (solid, bi-colour,
tri-colour, tabby), either in the Neva Masquerade or in the Siberian. Burmese pattern is also not accepted. Any other colour is accepted, the descriptions of colours are listed in the General
Colour Guide. Any amount of white is allowed.

Somali
Body: Medium long, elegant, firm, lithe, showing well developed muscular strength, solid to the feel.
Tail long and tapering, broad at base. Legs to be sinewy, long and slim. Feet small and oval.
Slender neck.
Head: Modified wedge with slightly rounded contours. Firm chin; nose medium in length; profile
gently curved.
Ears: L arge , set wide apart; wide at base with moderately rounded tips. Ear inner furnishing and
,,thumb print" markings are desirable.
Eyes: Large, brilliant and expressive, slightly almond shaped, set well apart. Eye colour to be pure,
clear, intensive amber or green. In all colour varieties eye lids are encircled by the ticking
colour (eye line).
Ticking: Multiple bands of colour on each single hair. The ticking to be evenly extended all over the
body, free of any barring. The spine line, the tip of tail and heels are intensively coloured in
the ticking colour . Chest, underside of body and inside of legs showing base colour
without any ticking.
Texture: Medium long, fine and lustrous with dense undercoat. Ruff and breeches desired; tail bushy.
Faults: Broken necklace; grey or too light undercoat colour; lack of ticking; barring on front legs; ghost markings; no line of dark pigmentation round the eyes; white elsewhere than chin.

Turkish Angora
Body: Medium sized cat, finely boned with firm muscularity. Slightly el ongated and slender body;
medium long legs, feet round ed and dainty. Tail long and tapering to a pointed tip.
Head: Medium long wedge; firm chin, fine jaw forming a gently rounded tip. Slightly curved profile.
Ears: Large, set rather high; tapering from a medium wide base to a pointed tip at first in straight lines,
then slightly rounded. They look almost transparent, but are well furnished inside.
Eyes: Large and almond shaped; slightly slanted . Eye colour to be uniform and harmonizing with
coat colour.
Coat: Medium-long and flowing, of fine texture, with glossy crisp guard hair and no wool hair; hair particularly long on neck, chest, breeches and tail.
Colour Varieties: Chocolate and cinnamon and the according diluted colours (lilac and fawn) are not accepted in
any combinations (bi-colour, tri-colour, tabby). Also, the c s -factor is not accepted. Any other
colour is accepted, the descriptions of colours are listed in the General Colour Guide.
Faults: Presence of wool hair or stringy water-resistant guard hair, as well as extremely elongated,
Oriental type are severe faults.

Turkish Van
Body: Medium sized to large cat, medium strong build with substantial musculature. Neck and chest
massive and strong. Legs of medium length, round feet with toe tufts. Tail of medium length,
with a full brush.
Head: Blunt triangle of medium length. Profile almost straight; strong chin.
Ears: Large, wide at base with slightly rounded tips. Set straight, rather high and upright on the head.
Eyes: Large, oval and set slightly oblique; light amber, blue or odd in colour with pink rims.
Coat: Medium long and silky to the roots; no woolly undercoat; shorter on shoulders and neck, longer
on tail and breeches. Colour of the body chalk white with no trace of yellow. Auburn or cream
markings at the ear base, separated by a white blaze. Ears are white with delicate shell pink inside.
The tail brush is auburn. Nose leather and paw pads are pink.
Faults: Small irregular colour patches on the body should not necessarily disqualify any otherwise good
specimen. Tabby markings in the patches should be tolerated.

Highland Fold
Body: Medium to large sized cat, muscular and cobby . Chest, back and shoulders broad and massive.
Neck short and strong. Legs short and sturdy, paws thick and round. Tail medium in length, thick
with rounded tip, without any stiffening or thickening, must show normal flexibility to the tip.
Head: Rounded, massive, broad skull with firm chin. Nose short, broad and straight; curved profile
without any stop . Cheeks full and chubby. The big round whisker pads give the short muzzle
a definite outline.
Ears: Small and folded forward, slightly rounded tips turned slightly to face centre. Set far apart and
pressed flat to the skull stressing its round shape.
Eyes: Large and round, set wide apart. Colour conforming to coat colour.
Coat: Semi-long and very dense, with sufficient undercoat, crisp and not flat-lying.

Faults: Inflexibility in any part of the tail, ears standing off from the skull, profile with stop are severe
faults.
